Spiced & Creamy Oatmeal Porridge

Every night Darwin sleeps above my head. By the morning he waits until he feels me waking up and comes to my chest in the hope for some cuddles... which he knows he will inevitable get. After some purring and a contagious calmness… it’s breakfast time!

Porridge is probably the perfect breakfast for a cold & rainy winter morning. There’s some comfort & contentment in it. Healthy and versatile you can make porridge with a variety of whole grains and enjoyed in a large diversity of sweet and savory recipes.

In this post I share creamy oatmeal porridge with spices & apple recipe to warm you up.

Ingredients

(serves 2)

1 cup organic rolled oats

1 apple, coarsely grated

2 cups water 

1 cup oat milk

1 tsp cinnamon 

1/2 tsp ginger 

1/8 tsp cloves 

Pinch of sea salt

Method

1. Combine the water, oats and salt in a large pan over a medium heat. Bring to boil.

2. Add the apple, spices and milk. Stir constantly and simmer for 5 minutes until creamy.

Add some milk if necessary.

Serve topped with chopped walnuts & almonds, bio sliced coconut & bio sweet coconut chips, goji berries.
