The last few weeks of December were spent at Aveiro. I shoot little or barely anything. I hugged dearly my folks. I tried to take the most advantages of my time with Zu. We walked often and a lot until my feet got sore. I tried my best to not let myself get drawn by the negativity & the bad things that happened in parallel. There was no Christmas spirit this Year. I stopped, breathed deeply. Got disappointed. Asked for patience and courage. I laughed and cried. I saw for the first time a mandarin duck. Watched Zu and Darwin sleeping side-by-side. Went to the Dentist. Bought a book. Got sick. Ran after a bus and almost dropped my bags. Cherished my parents little one legged Canary, Cenourinha, a 15 year old boy. Looked at the Moon. Ate plenty of traditional sweets. Got wet from the rain, walked below the sunshine. I found myself again. I moved on. And everything goes by. All is ephemeral.

Life taught me that happy (ier) are the people who keep the Heart clean and weightless. ― Sofia Castro Fernandes
