ALPINE BEAUTY

As Summer faded into Autumn we took a road trip to the mountains. This was the first time that we travelled so far this way, more than a thousand kilometers all the way from Netherlands until northern of Italy, the outstanding Dolomites, crossing over Germany and Austria. A place with the most incredible landscapes that I ever seen. Views that dare the common sense. A blend between reality and the imagination. Mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers and alpine trees. Incredible textures and colors.

We made a few stops while passing through Germany. As we got closer to Austria we could see the mountain range of the Alps. There were happy tears. I’m so thankful for having this opportunity, to have these memories with me.

These are some of the pictures that I took during the first day. A short pause in Plansee a peaceful & beautiful emerald lake in Austria surrounded by mountains… a taste for what was to come. Photographs from the stunning but a little crowded Lago di Braies. It is complicated to envision a better frame for a picture. Tall and dark pines on the sides. Mountains on the back drop. It is as if the lake was there only to serve as the personal mirror for the mountain to gaze itself over the tens of thousands of millennia. Moments in Tre Cime Natural Park, the place that we stay during those few days… We were astonished with the magnificent vistas.
